Managing Partner
Moss Mojapelo
An operator's mindset applied to strategy, transactions and growth.
Moss is a mining and metals professional experienced in transaction advisory, operational excellence, business turnarounds, operational risk management, operational readiness and country mineral strategy.
He has delivered work across gold, coal, diamonds, platinum, chrome, iron ore, heavy minerals and copper in South Africa, Madagascar, Botswana, Namibia, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Before co-founding Athari, Moss worked at Anglo American as a Mining Engineer responsible for surface and underground mine workings. He later moved into Strategy and Operations consulting at Deloitte, serving start-ups, JSE-listed businesses and multinational companies across energy, resources and industrial sectors.
Moss was schooled in the business of Engineering and Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand and the Corporate Finance Institute, is a Prince2 Project Management practitioner and also holds the Mine Manager’s & Mine Overseer’s Government Certificates of Competency from his operational mining industry experience.

Lekoapa Molepo

Lekoapa is a socio-economic development professional with experience in consulting, project management, strategic execution and operations. His work spans enterprise and supplier development, youth development, skills training and community upliftment.
He has delivered programmes for clients in mining, energy, financial services and the public sector, helping organisations move from programme design to practical implementation and scale.
Before his current role at Athari, Lekoapa served as Chief Operating Officer of Driven, where he led the design and implementation of sustainable community and SMME development programmes. His earlier work at Gold Youth deepened his experience in systemic, peer-led youth development, programme management, employability and resilience.
At Athari, Lekoapa combines delivery discipline with business-development insight to build partnerships, strengthen organisational capability and expand the firm's programme portfolio.
